Hitting all the right notes!
Pictured is the Peace Proms Choir from Cahir Boys N.S. who took part in the 2019 Peace Proms Concert in the University of Limerick on Saturday, March 2nd 2019.
The boys were part of a group of 1000 children who performed along with various artists and the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, conducted by Greg Beardsell.
The concert was the culmination of many months of practice in the school, to learn the lyrics and the movements for each piece of music. Well done to the boys and the organising teachers, Mr. Kevin Farrell, Mrs. Eimear Grogan and Mr. John Kennedy on being part of such a wonderful evening of entertainment.

Music to our ears!!
The children of 2nd, 3rd and 6th class have been doing great work with Mr Farrell in music class. They have written the lyrics to their own songs, helped Mr Farrell to put music to the lyrics and performed the song for recording. It is an amazing achievement for the boys and they wish to thank Mr Farrell for all of his hard work in helping them compose the songs. We hope that you all enjoy listening to them!!

Cork Pops
The staff and students in 3rd to 6th class enjoyed a wonderful day at Cork Pops Orchestra in the U.L. Concert Hall on November the 11th 2016. The children listened to beautiful orchestral pieces and saw many instruments such as the violin, double bass, clarinet, oboe, flute and timpani. The children learned songs such as Purple People Eater, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Sing a Rainbow and performed these with Keith Hanly from the Voice of Ireland on the day. The children also enjoyed listening to the DJ describe how he created music using a computer.
