Junior Entrepreneur Programme
Amazing work is being undertaken in 5th class, under the watchful eye of Mr. O'Meara, as part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. The programme encourages children to experience what running a business is like. The boys have been busy constructing wooden rocking chairs that have gone on sale in Super Valu, Cahir BNS, Our Lady of Mercy Primary School and through sales at home. They have made sales of over 500 euro. The culmination of their work is the national showcase in the RDS on the 20th of May. Art and craft at Cahir Castle
Every year the boys are so lucky to be invited down to Cahir Castle to do some art and craft at Christmas time. This year the boys designed their own wooden shields. They used stencils to create their very own coat of arms. The boys really enjoyed the activity and wish to thank the staff of Cahir Castle for their kindness and help.

Roald Dahl Day celebrations
Written by Luke McGahern and Adam O'Dwyer 3rd class
This week learned about Roald Dahl. We dressed up on the 13th of September. 6 people dressed up as characters from Roald Dahl's books. Luke, Alex, Colin dressed up as Charlie. Cian dressed up as Fantastic Mr.Fox and Adam and Darius dressed up as Wily Wonka. Everybody made sock puppets. We drew a picture of ourselves falling from the giant peach. We played games. We learned facts about Roald Dahl, such as, he joined the RAF and crashed in Egypt. We learned that he gave up writing in magazines and newspapers and started writing children's books. He sold over 200 million copies of his books. We sadly learned that he dies in 1990 at the age of 74.
