Stay safe and take care
As the summer school holidays approach, we look back on what has been a strange and surreal final few months to the school year. Many important events and milestones have been cancelled or postponed and we have realised the important place Cahir BNS has in our lives. We look forward to welcoming you all back again in September, where we can learn and grow together in our happy school community. Enjoy your summer holidays, stay safe and take care.

Postponed Communion
To mark the date of what should have been the boys' First Holy Communion, 2nd class decided to say their prayer before Communion and light a candle in their homes at 11 am on Saturday the 16th of May. It was a nice way for the boys to come together in spirit and prepare for their Holy Communion. We look forward to celebrating this event in the future.

There Will Be Time Without Measure
A collaborative poem for Poetry Day Ireland 2020
1
There will be time without measure
When the air holds no fear
When we can do things without thinking and walk with arms linking
to spend time together
24
Alone in the darkness, standing together
When everything will be nice and pleasant.
This can be bad or it can be a pleasure
Ireland will rise again we are a nation of patience and courage
In the heaps of the heather
And when it arrives, it we should treasure
This slower pace of life a newfound pleasure
there will always be time around the clock
42
There is time without measure, for life is a pleasure
There will be a time without measure, and for me
this will be a pleasing which I will treasure.
Too many days are filled with schedules and timetables.
There will be learning without schooling
There will be a time when the virus is done,
no more social distancing, just Family and fun
Days mean nothing to us now
To relax, unwind and take pleasure
Isn't it a treasure
Our loved ones we will treasure

Pictured is the Peace Proms Choir from Cahir Boys NS who, along with their teachers Eimear Grogan, John Kennedy and Barry Kinsella, took part in the Peace Proms Concert in WIT Sports Arena on Saturday, March 7th.
The group performed along with hundreds of other pupils from schools around the country on the day, with music from the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, conducted by Greg Beardsell.
This is the second year the school has participated in this wonderful event and it is once again a very proud moment for the entire school community.
